Michael Cabiro Announced as CEO Of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital Of Pearland

PEARLAND, Texas – Michael “Mike” Cabiro, PT, MBA, has been named chief executive officer of the future HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Pearland. He assumed the position on March 20.

Michael “Mike” CabiroIn his position as CEO, he will oversee all of the day-to-day operations as well as patient quality and care for the future physical inpatient rehabilitation hospital. A seasoned healthcare leader in the Houston area, Cabiro brings 15 years of operational leadership experience to his role at HealthSouth Pearland in addition to his 12 years of clinical-level experience as a physical therapist. He earned his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Texas Women’s University in Houston.

“Mike’s many years of experience working as a physical therapist and a leader in the rehabilitation sector are a great benefit to providing top notch care to our patients and a strong foundation to the team at the future HealthSouth Pearland,” said Frank Brown, president of the southwest region for HealthSouth. “With Mike at the helm, we look forward to opening the doors to our beautiful, new hospital in October and providing seamless comprehensive rehabilitative care for those requiring our services in Pearland and the southeast Houston communities.”

HealthSouth Pearland, a 40-bed inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital, is located at 2121 Business Center Drive in The Reserve at Shadow Creek Ranch and is scheduled to open in October. The hospital will serve patients who are recovering from conditions such as stroke and other neurological disorders, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, complex orthopedic conditions, and cardiac and pulmonary conditions. 

HealthSouth has been serving in Texas since 1990 and this will be the company’s 23rd location in Texas.
